Programme
- The Programme is coordinated by:
  Institute for Sustainable Technologies – National Research Institute (ITeE-PIB)
  The programme is jointly realised by the Institute and Polish and international R&D institutions and enterprises within the Innovative Economy Operational Programme co-financed from the EU structural funds. The Programme is a natural continuation of the PW-004 Multi-Year Programme ‘Development of Innovative Systems of Manufacturing and Maintenance 2004-2008’, that was also coordinated by ITeE-PIB. The subject matter of the Strategic Programme also corresponds to research priorities generated by ‘Poland 2020’ National Foresight Programme.
  
  The realization of the ‘Innovative Systems of Technical Support for Sustainable Development of Economy’ Strategic Programme started on 02.03.2009 and is planned to finish on 31.12.2014
Aim of the Programme
- The direct aim of the Strategic Programme is to develop practical innovative product solutions ready to be economically implemented in the area of production and maintenance of technical objects, and to design novel model process solutions in the domain of knowledge transformation and technology transfer that would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the commercialization process of the obtained material results both on the national and international market.

The Programme is divided into 60 research tasks that are realised within 5 subject areas concernig:

I. Systems of knowledge transformation, advanced technologies transfer and commercialisation of innovative solutions

II. Advanced technologies supporting production and maintenance processes of technical objects

III. Test apparatus and unique technical devices

IV. Systems and methods for the rationalisation of the use of the resources

V. Systems of diagnosis and safe maintenance of technical objects

The detailed scientific targets have been defined for all the research tasks of the Programme. Among them are new methods, models, modern research and application methodologies including advanced products and materials, prototypes, model technologies and novel computer, measurement and control systems.

- The results of the executed Programme will include over 300 product and process solutions in the following domains:
  - Devices and test apparatus sets
  - Technologies
  - New materials
  - Computer systems
  - Methods, procedures and organisational structures
